The Friends of Meigs Field is an all-volunteer non-profit organization with over 6,800 members.

Founded in 1995, our organization is dedicated to the restoration, preservation and improvement of Chicago's famed downtown airport, Meigs Field.

From the beginning our mission has been threefold:

  1) "To educate Chicagoans regarding aviation at Meigs Field,
  2) "To preserve and improve Meigs Field as an integral part of Chicago's lakefront,
  3) "To increase and share the benefits of Meigs Field with as wide a public as possible."

Friends of Meigs Field is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization.
